![]() The goal of Kappa Omicron Nu is to foster "excellence in leadership, scholarship, and research" through multidisciplinary education, research, and service for the health of individuals, families, and communities. The Molloy University Chapter of Kappa Omicron Nu, Nu Alpha Kappa was established at Molloy University in September 2017. Kappa Omicron Nu is the National Honor Society for Human Sciences. Additionally, teacher candidates must complete a written statement highlighting volunteer service in an educative environment and are required to attend the Induction Ceremony. Candidates must also complete a pre-candidacy period in which the member attends a minimum of one Kappa Delta Pi workshop or meeting prior to induction. Membership in Molloy University Chi Epsilon Chapter is open to those education candidates who have maintained a cumulative index of 3.85 and have completed a minimum of 15 credits in the Graduate Education Program at Molloy University. Its aim is to foster high standards of preparation for the teaching profession. ![]() Founded in 1911, the goals of this society are to promote excellence in and to recognize outstanding contributions to the field of education. Kappa Delta Pi is an International Honor Society in Education. ![]() Invitations to those eligible are emailed annually in late January, and recognition of this achievement is awarded with a pin and certificate. Students, eligible for induction, will be required to submit documentation of service given. Service provided should be unrelated to major or course requirements (i.e., internship, career experience). In addition to meeting the academic requirements, students must provide direct service to others. Master’s degree students who have earned a 4.0 GPA overall and have completed a minimum of 18 credits at Molloy University at the end of the fall semester are eligible for membership. Undergraduate juniors and seniors with a minimum cumulative index of 3.75 at the end of the fall semester and have earned at least 64 credits at Molloy University are eligible for membership. Undergraduate and Master’s degree students are eligible for this society. The Gamma Omega Chapter of Delta Epsilon Sigma is the National Scholastic Honor Society for Catholic colleges. Graduate students must have completed a minimum of 18 credits and earned an overall grade point average of 3.3. Undergraduate students must have completed at least 24 credits and earned an overall grade point average of 3.1. It is open to Molloy University students who have presented to the Center for Access and Disability with a documented disability or chronic illness and demonstrate an interest in disability issues. The Beta Epsilon chapter at Molloy was established in 2011. Eligibility requirements to become a member include maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) in a graduate level counseling program and are deemed promising for endorsement as a professional counselor whose ethical judgement and behavior will be exemplary.ĭelta Alpha Pi Honor Society, the first of its kind in the nation, was established to recognize the academic accomplishments of college and university students with disabilities. ![]() The purposes of CSI are: "To promote scholarship, research, professionalism, and excellence in counseling, and to recognize high attainment in the pursuit of academic and clinical excellence in the profession of counseling." CSI is committed to doing all it can to uphold the high standards of its members. CSI acknowledges outstanding academic achievement, as well as outstanding service within the counseling profession. Application for membership is made through the Department of Criminal Justice.Ĭhi Sigma Iota (CSI), Counseling Academic & Professional Honor Society International (Mu Chi Nu Chapter)ĬSI is the international honor society for professional counseling and for professional counselors. A student must have completed at least four (4) graduate courses before application. The Zeta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma, the National Criminal Justice Honor Society, is open to the graduate student who maintains a minimum of 3.4 overall grade point average and a 3.4 in their Criminal Justice courses. ![]()
