I will serve the Lord for the rest of my life. The New England State of Maine offers sober living options to all men and women suffering from substance abuse. I thank God for not leaving me lost and I thank Tony Wood, Lynn Wood, Keener Batchelor, and Jeff Batchelor for giving of themselves to see men set free. I am so close to the Lord and plan on being a light to my family and anyone else the Lord puts in my path. The favor of the Lord has come upon my life. I then started going after the Lord, reading my word, soaking in everything that is preached to us at Freedom house, and I have began to see Jesus for who he really is. After about a month of that I began to experience true freedom. He said I could come with no phone and no tobacco for six months. The judge decided to let me go to Freedom house so I called Tony. I quit working for Tony, I started getting high, I was more miserable than ever before and I went back to jail. I thought “I’m not on drugs anymore that’s good enough” so I kept my vape and my rap music and within five months that foothold I let the devil keep eventually made me go back around the mountain again. I began to listen to the preaching and the blinders began to fall off little by little but I would just get upset when I heard people preach about denying myself. I did this for a month or two my life began to get better. To work at Total Remodeling at the time you had to be able to pass a drug test and you had to attend church on Wednesday night and Sunday morning. What lies and deception and a miserable life to live? Fast forward to January 2022 I was in jail, tired of going around and around in that vicious cycle and a man told me if I wanted to stay clean call Tony Wood he would give me a job. I was completely dependent I thought I had to have it to get out of the bed. From the age of 18 to 26 I used meth every day. I started taking pills and smoking pot at a very young age, which led me to using meth by the age of 18. Before I met Tony Wood I had only been to church maybe 10 times my whole life and I did not know the Lord. My name is Jacob Walker and I am 26 years old.
